Hall of Fame Post Question - Stewart Taylor Document

The second document was interesting to me especially the part about daily range projections (page 21) http://tv.ino.com/media/INLV97ST/workbook.pdf
Has anyone used this sort of projection calculation? I have begun to plot the ranges going forward and plan to back-plot the ranges when I get some spare time. There are some grey areas to the ranges that the document doesn't clarify (or I am not understanding) I am still thinking through those areas.

Goal: From 5k to 25k (Newb)

I'm a newish trader. I've scrounged together 5k that I can afford to lose. I cannot day trade options presently, so this goal is to unlock that possibility and then go to town with you big dogs.
As I have to hold options overnight, I'll primarily be trading weekly spreads, starting with TheFadedBull 's SPX strategy with some covered calls on some INO I own @~$10 to get the ball rolling.
This is mainly to keep me accountable and to hopefully help some people learn what to do and not to do as I make mistakes along the way.
I'll update this post as I adopt new trading strategies and learn more as well.
So Far:
Indices: SPX
Strategies: TFB's SPX Spread, Covered Calls
Education: None, reading/watching Steve Nison's Candlestick course.
Update 9/14/2015
Spent the weekend reading up on more candlesticks, Forex, and S/R zones.
I've started to mark up and follow the following assets with basic S/R's: GPRO, NFLX, TSLA, PCLN, SPX
I'm sitting out this week, as the Fed announcement is Thursday. But that freed time will be spent on training and experimenting with paper trades and how they respect my rudimentary S/R levels.
Update 9/17/2015
Up to $5200, made a nice GPRO call play and locked in some SVXY profits. I've been paper trading on FOREX, so far still profitable there, using basic S/R zones. I plan on paper trading FOREX for another 2-3 weeks and then taking the plunge with a few grand.
Gonna put on the SPX spreads again next week after FOMC is done whatever its doing.
